General Security Best Practices
- Valuables: Keep expensive jewellery, watches, and excessive cash at home. Use hotel safes.
- Transport: Never use unmarked taxis or motorbike taxis (boda-bodas) in cities unless pre-arranged by your lodge or Katuma African Safaris.
- Photography: It is illegal to take photos of military installations, government buildings, police stations, or border posts. Always ask permission before photographing local people.
